Typography Work
I had the privilege of taking an advanced typography class and one of my creations from that class was a type family named “Half Weight.” It is a slab serif font with only half of the letter containing a more weighted line than the other side. It was a fun activity and allowed me to see the potential of a font. I also created book covers utilizing typography and illustration.
I made two book covers for the novel The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. The last book cover was for the play A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. The two covers made for The Great Gatsby utilized typography and some minor design work. A Christmas Carol used far more illustration. All three were made in Illustrator.
